Block Paving Driveway
What We Did
We recently had the privilege of executing an innovative project which involved the construction of a 100-square-meter permeable driveway for a client. This was not just another project for us, but an opportunity to showcase our commitment to high-quality craftsmanship, professional service, and customer satisfaction.
The project was centred around the installation of charcoal key kerbs and paving blocks. The paving blocks were carefully laid on a 50mm bed of 2-6mm shingle, adding to the permeability of the driveway, and ensuring efficient drainage of surface water. The entire structure was built on a 200mm type 3 baselayer, providing a robust foundation to handle the weight of vehicles while preserving the integrity of the driveway.
One of the unique aspects of this project was the construction of mitred steps. This design choice was made keeping in mind the customer’s need to avoid damaging their car tires. We meticulously planned and executed the formation of these steps, ensuring a smooth transition from the driveway to the home entrance.
